1. Ask to get Pixie Dusted
When you are visiting the Magic Kingdom, there is a truly magical activity you can ask to participate in, getting pixie dusted! You can kindly ask a cast member at Sir Mickey’s, located right behind Cinderella’s castle if you would be able to be pixie dusted. When you get pixie dusted, you are sprinkled with glittery pixie dust from Tinkerbell herself from a magical fairy wand. This is a truly a special, magical experience you will never forget!
2. Ask for a Celebration Button
If you are celebrating a special event during your visit at Walt Disney World you can ask for a celebration button. These buttons are offered at Guest Relations as well as most merchandise locations on property. These are offered at no cost. If you ask a cast member kindly for a celebration button, they are happy to give one to you as long as they have them available. Celebration buttons are offered in “I’m Celebrating”, “Happy Birthday”, “Happily Ever After”, and “First Visit” designs. Most cast members as well are more than happy to add your name or what you are celebrating to your button to customize it!
3. Roasting Marshmallows
For guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort, most resorts offer a campfire on select evenings! At the resort campfires, Disney offers free marshmallows to guest to roast on the campfire, making for a delicious treat and fun activity! At the campfires, s’mores making kits are available as well for an additional cost. Available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, this resort offers a campfire sing along with Chip and Dale. Guests can roast marshmallows with Chip and Dale, enjoy a live sing along to your favorite Disney songs, and watch a beloved Disney film. 4. Finding Hidden Mickeys
Throughout all of Walt Disney World there are hidden secrets to find everywhere you look, hidden Mickeys! These Mickey mouse shapes are, like the name implies, hidden all around. Hidden Mickeys can be found anywhere and everywhere, from the floor to the wallpaper, silverware and more. Keeping an eye out searching for hidden Mickeys is a fun activity for the whole family. You never know where you’ll find one unexpectedly. If you are having trouble locating hidden Mickeys, you can always ask a cast member if they know of any nearby. If they are aware of any, they are happy to point you in the right direction.
5. Kidcot Fun Stops
If you are visiting Epcot, you can participate in Kidcot fun stops, a fun, free activity around the world showcase. By participating in Kidcot, kids will enjoy learning about different countries around the world from cultural representatives while being able to color and collect postcards from each. When you begin, you’ll receive a ziploc world showcase suitcase to collect all of your postcards within as they travel around the world. At many Kidcot Fun Stop locations, there are pin trading boards as well for individuals interested in pin trading. This is a great activity kids will enjoy participating in during their visit to Epcot!
6. Wilderness Explorers
Wilderness Explorers, like Kidcot Fun Stops, is a fun activity for children, and individuals of all ages. This activity is offered at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Inspired by the Pixar film Up, you’ll become a Wilderness Explorer like Russell, earning badges. You’ll receive a Wilderness Explorer guide with information about each of the stops and what you will learn. As you visit each location, you’ll learn new things about conservation, animals, and the Earth. Once you visit a location, you will earn a badge!
