Happy fall! The leaves are falling, festive pumpkins are all around, the seasons are changing, and it’s time for pumpkin spice treats galore! Although it may not be truly chilly like fall at Walt Disney World during this time of year, there are so many wonderful ways to celebrate the season. If you happen to be visiting Walt Disney World this fall season, here are 5 festive fall activities to help you celebrate!

Fall decorations at the Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom.1. Enjoy the Fall and Halloween Decor at Magic Kingdom!

During the fall season, beginning in early August and ending after Halloween, Magic Kingdom transforms into a fall celebration! You can find festive decor throughout Walt Disney World, but you can find the most at Magic Kingdom! Here  you’ll be greeted with friendly scarecrows, leave-filled garland, and decorations atop every building on Main Street USA. Oh and the best part… Mickey pumpkins and Cinderella carriage pumpkins! These can be found adorning lampposts throughout the magic kingdom and are truly cheery and magical!

2. Campfire Sing Along with Chip and Dale at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground

On select nights at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, a special campfire sing along with Chip and Dale is offered! This is a super fun activity for the whole family! A live performer leads everyone through singalong songs with the help of Chip and Dale, who also roam and greet guests during the event. Following the sing along is a showing next to the campfire of a beloved Disney movie. This activity is free to attend, but there is an additional cost for kits to roast your own s’mores. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a separate ticketed after hours event at Magic Kingdom. This is a special event where guests can dress up, trick-or-treat throughout the park, watch special Halloween themed entertainment, meet rare characters, and more! The Halloween party is offered select nights at Magic Kingdom. More information about event dates and tickets can be found here. The event starts officially at 7pm and goes till midnight, but you can enter the Magic Kingdom as soon as 4pm. We recommend arriving right at 4pm! By arriving early, you’ll have time to take photos around the park in your Halloween costumes, grab dinner, and even hop on a ride or two before the party begins!

If you’re hoping to meet special characters during the party, many of the lines for these open before the party starts. Many of the lines for very popular characters, such as Jack Skellington and Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas, can get very long. If meeting one of these characters is a must do, we recommend getting in line early!

Throughout Walt Disney World during fall are many delicious and festive fall themed treats! These can be found at nearly every park, as well as at many of the Walt Disney World Resorts! If you are a pumpkin fan, there are so many amazing treats you’ll love! But if you’re not a pumpkin fan, not to worry, there are many non-pumpkin fall treats. You can also find many fall coffee beverages at Starbucks, Joffrey’s, and other quickservice dining locations. Some of our favorite treats include the Witches Cold Brew at Cheshire Cafe at Magic Kingdom and the Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart at Woody’s Lunchbox at Hollywood Studios.

5. Participate in a Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt at Epcot

Each fall season at Epcot, you can participate in Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit! This is a fun scavenger hunt throughout the Epcot theme park where your goal is to find all of the character themed pumpkins. To participate in this scavenger hunt, you can purchase a map at most merchandise locations for typically around $10. You will then find all of the pumpkins around the park, attaching the corresponding sticker on your map to where you found it. Once you find all the pumpkins, you can return to a merchandise location to redeem for a prize! There are typically 4 different fall themed prizes to choose from, such as a mini Mickey pumpkin pail.

Boo to you! Wishing you a happy fall and happy Halloween!
