Have you heard about the Disney College Program? The Disney College Program, often referred to as the “DCP” is a 4-7 month program for college students where those accepted have the opportunity to participate in a paid internship at Walt Disney World Resort! This program is an amazing opportunity to grow your skills, learn from a world-renowned company and leader in providing exceptional guest service, and make memories that last a lifetime!

Length of Program:

The Disney College program is offered as a 4-7 month long program during either the fall or the spring semesters. A standard length of program is typically 4-5 months, but participants may have the opportunity to be a part of what is referred to as either the “Fall Advantage” or “Spring Advantage” programs, which are 6-7 months in length!

Working:

During the program, participants are assigned a “role”, a job they will be doing throughout their program. Some common roles participants may be assigned to include Attractions, Merchandise, Food and Beverage, Children’s Activities, Custodial, Lifeguard, and more! Participants will also be assigned what is referred to as a home location, such as Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Big Top Souvenirs inside Storybook Circus at Magic Kingdom. This is where you will be working throughout your program, although some roles may have opportunities to work in additional locations as well! Each participant through their role has the amazing opportunity to help bring the magic to life and help create happiness for visitors from around the world!

Living:

Participants live at Flamingo Crossings Village, a beautiful apartment complex just for Disney Internships & Programs participants! This housing complex is located on Walt Disney World property just a few minutes from Animal Kingdom. At Flamingo Crossings, participants live in fully furnished apartments with 3 roommates in addition to themselves, having the option to either share a bedroom with one roommate or have their own bedroom. Within the apartment complex as well, participants have access to wonderful amenities including a community center, multiple pools, basketball courts, a fitness studio, study spaces, and more! By living at Flamingo Crossings, participants are also able to utilize free bus transportation to travel to work or to visit the parks, offering transportation to nearly everywhere on Disney property and to Target.

Learning:

Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to participate in a variety of learning activities offered by Disney! Some offerings include classes on topics such as leadership or hospitality, where participants can earn a “Mousters” or “Ducktorate” degree. Also offered are events featuring guest speakers from around The Walt Disney Company, networking events, and backstage tours to learn how the magic is brought to life! For successfully completing their program, participants may have the opportunity to receive college credit through their university as well as may take college courses during their program to continue their studies.

Experiencing the Magic:

Not only as a Disney College Program cast member do you get to create magical experiences and joy for others, but you also get to enjoy and experience the magic! During your program, participants are offered free entrance to the Disney theme parks, allowing you to enjoy and explore the parks! There are so many other wonderful experiences across property to explore as well, such as visiting Disney Springs or the many Disney resorts!
